Dear Friends of WVWC Swimming,

I would like to welcome everybody to the 2007-2008 WVWC Swimming season.  Practice has started this past week and the team is already hard at work preparing for the upcoming season.

The biggest change this year is the arrival of our new graduate assistant, Kyla Meuer.  She is a recent graduate of Missouri State where she swam breaststroke, sprint freestyle, and IM.  Kyla is a welcomed addition to the staff and we are already reaping her benefits.

I do want you to mark your calendars for Saturday October 20.  This is Homecoming weekend and we will be having an alumni meet.  I will be contacting the alumni shortly about this event.  It is designed to be a fun event where Wesleyan alumni can connect with the current team members.  I hope that a lot of you will be able to come for the meet..

The whole team is looking forward to the season.  Everyone is looking to improve upon last years performances.  We have a nice group of new freshmen who will contribute to the team.  Kyla and I have already begun to recruit for next year and the team is only going to get better.  If we haven’t already met, I encourage you to take the time to contact me and introduce yourself.  I like to hear from the alumni about your experiences on the team and how they have helped you in your life.   I am accessible through email at dziak@wvwc.edu, phone at 304.473.8507, or if you are in town feel free to stop by my office near the gym in the Athletic Department.

Sincerely,

Mark A. Dziak
